Right now, more than 160 million Americans get health insurance coverage from their employers. In 2014, all that could change as health insurance exchanges open their doors – as mandated by healthcare reform. Like all mandates, however, this directive does not impact every employer or every employee, evenly.
In a recent study conducted by Lockton, 18.8 percent of responding clients indicated that, at this time, they are considering terminating group health coverage in 2014.
