Employers today are dealing with a multigenerational workforce that includes a mix of Baby Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y (which, interestingly enough, may not really exist because it’s so indistinct), and…ta da! The Millennials. This most recent generation is the largest age group since the Baby Boomers, and they continue to pour into the job market.

It’s no secret this group comes with some rather distinct “personality” traits. Volumes have been written about them, where they’re unfortunately often much maligned. (I did a Google search on “traits of the Millennial generation” and instantly got 59,600 results.)

For those employers with a significant Millennial presence in the workforce, it just makes sense to take time to understand this unique group of individuals so you can effectively work with them. When it comes to your wellness program, you’ll definitely want to consider their characteristics as you work toward high levels of engagement. Here are some things to consider.
